Shipping and cost:
Your order will usually ship the same business day or be processed no later than 24 hours from the time it is placed on our web site. During ongoing sale activities, it can sometimes be difficult to predict the workload that will occur. Therefore, we kindly ask you to allow a slightly longer processing time while such an event is in progress.
International orders may take additional time. We will verify the information you provide us with the card issuing bank before your order ships.
We always ship via USPS Priority Mail which takes about 2-3 days to get to you. We may ship via UPS if your order exceeds the limit for what can be packed in the largest allowed box (e.g. orders that weigh more than 10 lbs).
There is a flat rate shipping fee of $6.95 for orders within all US 50 states, no matter how much you order.
No additional charges for handling. In the event that your order needs to be packed in more than one box due to its size (weight about 10 lbs or more), we kindly ask you to expect a slightly longer delivery time. This also applies to all larger orders, during and following days of sales activity.
We always ship via USPS Priority Mail and our International flat rate shipping fees are as follows:

No additional charges for handling but if the ordered amount exceeds what can fit in the maximum allowed size of package for USPS Priority Mail, we must charge another shipping fee for the second package, third package, etc.
The maximum size that we use is: 16'' x 12'' x 8'' (41cm x 31cm x 20cm) and will be able to contain about 90-120 skeins of Cotton/Alpaca yarns which is about 10 - 14 lbs (4.5 - 6 kg).
The woolen yarn requires a little more space so this box might contain about 60 skeins of Eskimo, Alaska or Fabel which is about 6 - 7 lbs (3 - 3.5 kg).
You will be charged in US dollars. Currency conversion rates are a guide for your convenience only. They are updated frequently. We do not guarantee the accuracy of this information.
You may have to pay import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Any local duties, taxes or customs charges assessed by your government are your responsibility. You must meet any additional charges for customs clearance. Please note, customs policies vary widely from country to country. Charges for customs clearance and import duties must be borne by you; we have absolutely no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. We recommend you contact your local customs office for further information prior to placing your order. Please also note, international shipments may be subject to cross-border inspections by customs authorities.
Please note, Shipping to all military addresses will take longer to handle. We need to visit the Post Office and hand over all APO/FPO parcels. This process is made every Monday (but not on Public Holiday Mondays).

You do not need to enter in the actual city, state or country of where you are located. Enter APO or FPO for the city and AP or AE (US Military) for the state. Be sure to submit your actual credit card billing address in the "billing address" section if the APO/FPO address is not on file with your credit card company. Type the APO/FPO address into the "shipping address" section.
Note: In the event that an incorrect address has been provided to Nordic Mart, we reserve the right to charge for any extra carriage costs incurred. If possible we insure international orders but this service isn't available in all countries. Use of your work address as a shipping address is always at your own risk.

All of our yarns except advertised Sale Items and limited yarns are unconditionally guaranteed and may be returned for refund, less shipping cost, within 30 days from the date of shipping. NOTE! All sale items are FINAL.
We at Nordic Mart want to make sure that you are satisfied with your order and that you feel free to try our yarns with the confidence of knowing you can return something if it really isn't what you expected.
Purchase receipt must accompany all returns.
Unused yarn in its original condition (with labels/tags intact, unwound, no stains, no smell) may be returned for up to 30 days. Unfortunately we cannot accept returns beyond this time due to the constraints of dye-lots and seasonal products.
Carefully pack and ship to us via an insured and traceable carrier such as UPS, FedEx or DHL. Also, please keep your return shipping receipt and tracking number for your reference during the return process.
When we receive the yarn, we will refund your full purchase price (product cost we have received from the customer. Some credit card companies might charge a small fee from the receiver to process the refund which is out of our control.) via the original method of payment. If a refund is not possible due to an expired account or credit card, you will receive a store credit instead.
We will refund the shipping cost only if the return is due to an error made by us. Otherwise, the shipping cost will not be refunded. We cannot refund any customs duties.
The most complicated part of presenting yarns on the internet is the colors. There are so many factors to be aware of, e.g. the monitor must be calibrated to show the correct color balance, contrast and brightness. Then we also have our own tastes, our sense is that this is in the eye of the beholder. Because of the differences in computers, the colors of the products may not display accurately. On our site, the colors are accurately represented: how the colors translates on your monitor is beyond our control.
Therefore we cannot refund the shipping cost if you have a different opinion regarding a yarn color.
If you want to exchange for something else, we kindly ask you to place a new order on this. That way we get it correctly registered in our system.
Books and needles are always final sale unless they are damaged in shipping or the wrong product has been shipped.
Damage / Error:
Products are free of damage and breakage when your order is shipped from our warehouse. Although Nordic Mart products are packaged very carefully, damages may occur in transit. Nordic Mart guarantees to replace products broken or damaged in transit. All damaged items will need to be returned to us. We will not ship out the replacement items until we receive and inspect the damaged item(s) that are returned.
Any items that are shipped in error will be exchanged or replaced at no cost to you.
