Recommended needle size and gauge/tension is only an indication and can vary depending on the type of design and personal taste. Indicated needle size and knitting tension are only meant as recommendations and may vary according to specific design and/or individual knitting techniques. Yarn qualities with the same or nearly same knitting tension can be used for the same patterns. You may also mix the various yarn qualities as follows:
For example: Two strands Alpaca create the same knitting tension and thickness as one strand Alaska. - Two threads from A equals one thread from C
- Three threads from A equals one thread from D
- Four threads from A equals one thread from E
