HAT
Knit in the round on circular needle.
Cast on 72 sts. Knit 8 rounds. Then turn piece so that RS faces the inside.
The hat is knitted with WS facing outwards, and will be turned afterwards. When you make the loops, they will come on the backside so therefore you must work from WS so that the loops end up on the RS.

Now work one round with loops as follows:
* K1, make a loop= put yarn loosely 2 times over and round left pointing finger.
Knit following st by pulling both two threads on left pointing finger through st. Drop loops of finger but keep st on left needle, place main thread over left pointing finger at the same time as the 2 loops holds tight against piece with right hands fingers. K1 in the same st back loop (= 1 twisted st), now there are 2 loop sts + 1 twisted st on right needle. Slip the 2 sts in the back over the first st = 1 loop *, repeat from *-* all around.
Now knit one round and then work one round with loops again make sure you now make loops in the st that was knitted on last loop round, and knit the st that you made a loop in.
Continue like this with knitting every other round and every other rounds with loops until piece measures approx 6.
On following knitted round knit every 3rd and 4th st tog all around = 54 sts.
Work one round with loops.
Change to double pointed needles when there are too few sts for the circular needle!
On following knitted round knit every second and 3rd sts tog all around = 36 sts.
Work one round with loops.
On following knitted round knit all sts tog 2 by 2 = 18 sts.
Work one round with loops.
On following knitted round knit all sts tog 2 by 2 = 9 sts.
Pull thread through the remaining sts, pull tight tog and fasten.
